The\u00a0Yas Marina Circuit<\/b>\u00a0is the venue for the\u00a0Abu Dhabi Grand Prix<\/a>. The circuit was planned by\u00a0H. Tilke<\/a> and is situated on\u00a0Yas Island<\/a>, about 30 minutes from the capital,\u00a0Abu Dhabi<\/a>. Yas Marina is the second F1 track in the\u00a0Middle East<\/a>, with the first in\u00a0Bahrain<\/a>. The twenty-one corners twist through Yas island off the Abu Dhabi coast\u00a0transient by the marina and through the\u00a0Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi Hotel<\/a>\u00a0planned and made by\u00a0New York<\/a>\u00a0based architects Hani Rashid and winding its way through desert sand dunes, with several long straights and tight corners.<\/p>\n

The circuit was constructed by main contractor\u00a0Cebarco<\/a> , under agreement from developer\u00a0Aldar Properties<\/a>. Among the sub-contractors concerned were structural contracter KOH AH HING<\/a>\u00a0from Malaysia;\u00a0Voltas<\/a> , Siemens<\/a> ,\u00a0Able-Middle East<\/a>\u00a0,\u00a0Hamilton International<\/a>\u00a0for interior designing,\u00a0Bau Bickhardt<\/a>\u00a0for track construction and\u00a0Unger Steel<\/a>\u00a0for steel structure.<\/p>\n

The circuits also have a permanent lighting system designed by\u00a0Musco Lighting<\/a>, similar to that also installed at the\u00a0Qatar. Yas Marina Circuit is the largest sports venue lighting project in the world prior to Abu Dhabi, it was held by Losail<\/p>\n

The circuit was welcomed by the drivers, with\u00a0Nico Rosberg<\/a>\u00a0commenting that every corner was unique\u00a0after the first practice sessions at the\u00a02009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix<\/a>, while Double Formula One Champion\u00a0Fernando Alonso<\/a>\u00a0conveyed his sentiments, stating that it was pleasurable because there was always amazing to do.\u00a0Force India’s<\/a>\u00a0Adrian Sutil<\/a>\u00a0rated the circuit as being superior than F1\u2019s other night race in\u00a0Singapore<\/a>\u00a0as he felt there was bright light at Marina Bay.<\/p>\n

Not all of the drivers were admiring, with\u00a0many drivers expressing track objectionable pit exit, which dips beneath the major circuit by path of a tunnel. Although the pit exit remained free of incidents for the early practice sessions but many drivers claimed it be dangerous. As the whole<\/p>\n

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is undeniably one of the highlights on the Formula One calendar and a weekend that everybody at the team always enjoys. The exclusivity of the twilight racing and the magnificent facilities at the Yas Marina Circuit make for quite a fabulous show, both for the crowds at the track and for those watching on television,<\/p>\n
