The fifth generation of Viper car which is the \u201cViper GTS\u201d has been launched in Dubai <\/a>with its new shape after the improvements which included all aspects of the car especially the engine. Jack Rodnekal, Managing Director of Chrysler Group Middle East said: \u201cregardless of the fact that \u2018Viper GTS\u2019 is the icon of the new \u2018SRT\u2019 commercial model, the launching of the Viper vehicle demonstrates that we will not let simply the icon of performance for the Chrysler Group die and this is a desire in the continued presence of this car by a very special group of performance enthusiasts inside the company and admirers of Viper car. The \u2018SRT\u2019 team enters under our new leadership in a challenge which is not just to continue the production of the legendary Viper car but for the development of the fifth generation of our super world-class car that would shed the light on the best what we have currently\u201d. Also, he said: \u201cwe have developed<\/strong> the iconic soul and the performance formula that Viper has maintained it over the years where our returning customers will see the global levels of pride, quality and the manual manufacturing which are the main characters of the latest generation of Viper\u201d.<\/p>\n

The heart and soul of the \u201cViper GTS\u201d car are in its V-10 engine with capacity of 8.4 liters which is made entirely of aluminum and is composed of 10 valves top of the mid- forward. The improvements of the 2013 model include a lightweight manifold intake with a very high flow, high-strength pistons, exhaust valves filled with sodium, new catalysts to reduce back pressure and a balancing wheel of aluminum reduces the mutual losses. The company has removed about 25 lbs (11.34 kg) from the whole engine. The performance rates for the Viper V-10 engine that has been engineered according to the technology of street racing SRT is 640 horsepower and 600 lb – ft of torque where it is the most powerful torque compared to any engine of a sports car in the world.<\/p>\n

The Company has improved the manual transmission with a six \u2013speed transmission system \u201cTremec TR6060\u201d through convergent interleave ratios and a final proportion of driving has been shortened to 3.55 from 3.07 and the wheel interlock became shorter too. As a result, the latest model of SRT which is \u201cViper GTS\u201d will be more attractive in the driving. The car has a top speed of 331 km \/ h where this speed is achieved now through the sixth speed with the maximum speed of the engine which is 6200 rpm.<\/p>\n
