The 2014 Jaguar F-Type Coupe is one of the most hotly anticipated sports coupes to arrive in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region by mid-2014. What started off as a harmless breakfast at Park Hyatt, Dubai with Jaguar Land Rover Middle East turned into excitement when they introduced the Jaguar F-Type Coupe, within an hour of the global launch that took place in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Facts about Jaguar F-Type Coupe: \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

– The model line-up is headlined by the F-TYPE R Coup\u00e9 with 550PS \/ 680Nm 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine enabling acceleration from 0-60mph in 4.1-seconds, and a top speed of 186mph (limited)<\/p>\n

– The F-TYPE R Coup\u00e9 features Jaguar\u2019s second-generation Electronic Active Differential which works in parallel with a new Torque Vectoring by braking system to deliver enhanced agility and exploitable handling at the limit<\/p>\n

– F-TYPE Coup\u00e9 has a torsional rigidity of 33,000 Nm\/degree \u2013 it is the most torsional rigid production Jaguar ever.<\/p>\n

F-TYPE S Coup\u00e9 and F-TYPE Coup\u00e9 models complete the range, powered respectively by 380PS and 340PS versions of Jaguar\u2019s 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine, giving 0-60mph in 4.8\/ 5.1-seconds and top speeds of 171\/161mph- A Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) braking system \u2013 featuring 398\/380mm discs front\/rear \u2013 is optional on both F-TYPE R and F-TYPE S Coup\u00e9 models<\/p>\n

– All engines drive the rear wheels through an eight-speed ‘Quickshift’ transmission with full manual sequential control via steering wheel-mounted paddles or the central SportShift lever- The F-TYPE Coup\u00e9 has up to 407-litres of boot space \u2013 which is around two sets of golf clubs \u2013 the tailgate being available with power assisted opening- The F-TYPE Coup\u00e9 range complements the existing 2013 World Car Design Of The Year award-winning F-TYPE Convertible model line-up of F-TYPE, F-TYPE S and F-TYPE V8 S<\/p>\n

The 2015 Jaguar F-type coupe will go on sale next spring, and is priced to slot in at $4000 less than its open-top brethren. The base model starts at $65,895, the stronger V-6 S begins at $77,895, while the ultra-powerful R model rings in at $99,895. With such seductive sheetmetal, and pricing and performance roughly matching Porsche\u2019s Cayman and 911 lineups, it would seem the Germans now have a genuine threat on their hands.<\/p>\n
