The new car will be unveiled on 8 January next year. Unfortunately, there have not been any official pictures.<\/p>\n<p>The Leon Cupra is SEAT\u2019s equivalent of the Golf GTI. The Cupra sits above the FR in the Leon range.<\/p>\n<p>The new Cupra will come in two versions. Even the \u2018basic\u2019 car will have a massive 265hp, 35hp more than the most potent Golf GTI. The more powerful variant gets 285hp, though it\u2019s not clear at this stage whether this will be badged Cupra R.<\/p>\n<p>Like all previous Leon Cupras, the new car is front-wheel drive.
