The <strong>video exposed an errant driver<\/strong> who was driving at a high speed without leaving a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. Motorists will have to face a hefty <strong>fine of AED 400 <\/strong>while<strong> 4 black points<\/strong> will be issued against their driving license. Additionally, <strong><em>tailgating drivers can also be booked for other violations if they cause a dangerous road accident<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Why Motorists Commit Tailgating Violation?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Traffic experts have identified several reasons behind tailgating violations committed by motorists. According to a recent study commissioned by RoadSafetyUAE, some of the major reasons behind tailgating violations were <strong>slow drivers, motorists running late and lack of awareness about tailgating rules<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Managing Director of RoadSafetyUAE, Thomas Edelmann<\/strong>, said that most of the UAE motorists are aware of the risks of tailgating yet <strong>only 59% of them never committed a tailgating violation<\/strong>.
