This comes as a great development for motorists on a tight budget who have been under serious financial pressure to pay their outstanding fines.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Details of the Discount Offer on Traffic Fines<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Dubai Police has announced details of the discount offer on traffic fines that is valid for fines issued in Dubai only. Motorists can avail this discount offer and get up to 100% discount on their outstanding fines <strong>according to the guidelines issued by authorities<\/strong>. Authorities have announced that the discount period for traffic fines issued in Dubai has begun from <strong>February 6, 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here are the details of the discount offer announced by Dubai Police:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Motorists can avail <strong>25% discount<\/strong> on their outstanding fines <strong>if they don\u2019t commit a traffic violation for three months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>50% discount<\/strong> on traffic fines can be availed if motorists <strong>don\u2019t commit a traffic violation for six months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Motorists can benefit from a <strong>75% discount offer<\/strong> on their traffic fines if they <strong>don\u2019t commit a violation for nine months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>100% discount<\/strong> on outstanding fines can be availed if motorists <strong>don\u2019t commit a traffic violation for twelve months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">As per the directives of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HHShkMohd?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HHShkMohd<\/a>, and in line with the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/YearOfTolerance?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#YearOfTolerance<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DubaiPoliceHQ?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@DubaiPoliceHQ<\/a> launched an initiative for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TrafficFines?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#TrafficFines<\/a> settlement through which drivers can get up to a 100% reduction on the total accumulated existing traffic fines..<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zOEcY5Ij1X\">https:\/\/t.co\/zOEcY5Ij1X<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Gl7kSlqvAL\">pic.twitter.com\/Gl7kSlqvAL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Dubai Police\u0634\u0631\u0637\u0629 \u062f\u0628\u064a (@DubaiPoliceHQ) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DubaiPoliceHQ\/status\/1093094701496967168?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 6, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also read: <strong><u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sellanycar.com\/cars-related\/rta-offer-services-customers-doorstep\/\">RTA to Offer its Services to Customers at their Doorstep<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Official Statement on the New Discount Offer<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Major-General Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen, Assistant Commander-In-Chief for Operations<\/strong> said that the new initiative to offer a discount on traffic fines is <strong>only valid for privately owned vehicles<\/strong> and <em>doesn\u2019t apply to the vehicles registered with rental offices, businesses and companies including private and public sector companies<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He explained that a <strong>driver\u2019s compliance with traffic rules will be computed from February 6, 2019<\/strong>\u00a0with a 25% discount offer valid every three months. He also mentioned that <em>if a motorist commits a traffic violation, the grace period for the discount offer will be recounted from the date of the new violation<\/em>. He added that motorists who reside outside Dubai for three consecutive months from the date of the traffic violation will not be able to avail a discount on their fines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this way, <em>the safe drivers will be able to avail up to 100% discount on their traffic fines if they don\u2019t commit a traffic violation for the entire year<\/em>. This offer applies to traffic fines issued in Dubai and is not applicable for fines issued by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) or Dubai Municipality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police<\/strong> said that <em>the new initiative has been taken after a thorough study of what is happening on the ground<\/em>. He added that this initiative has been taken to ensure the happiness of people and is in line with the <strong>Year of Tolerance<\/strong>. He said that 2019 is not only the Year of Tolerance but also a year of reconciliation.
