Under this campaign, <em>videos of dangerous traffic violations have been shared on the social media accounts of Abu Dhabi Police to expose errant drivers who threatened the safety of other commuters on Abu Dhabi roads. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the recently released video, it can be clearly seen that a number of motorists failed to comply with pedestrian safety rules. The penalties for traffic violations were changed in the amended traffic law that was implemented last year. Authorities have launched several campaigns before and after the implementation of the amended traffic law to raise awareness about the amendments made to the traffic law. <strong><em>Authorities have also provided information about the penalties of dangerous traffic violations through the \u201cGive Your Comment\u201d campaign<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>traffic penalties for ignoring pedestrian safety at designated crossings include a fine of AED 500 and 6 black points<\/strong>. The penalties for this violation <strong>include a hefty fine of AED 1,000 and 12 black points<\/strong>.
