The RTA Dubai has announced the second phase of Special Moments Number Plates initiative<\/em>. In light of this initiative, motorists can register their five digit number plates<\/strong> using any figures that may signify a personal milestone<\/strong> they might have achieved. These may include birth dates, wedding dates, anniversary date, first employment date or anything that may remind them of their personal achievement<\/em>. This announcement was made by Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Sunday the 25th<\/sup> of December 2016.<\/p>\n

Reflect your Special Day on Your Car\u2019s Number Plate<\/h2>\n

In the first phase, only those who were born between the years 1981 to 1998 were able to avail this offer. These number plates were issued with a Code \u201cS\u201d.<\/p>\n

The second phase of the \u201cspecial moments\u201d initiative will allow people to choose five digits for their car number plate to reflect any special date.\u00a0 People who were born between the years of 1967 to 2016<\/strong> can change their number plates, reflecting their special moments. These numbers plates will now be distinguished by a Code \u201cT\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Purpose behind the Initiative<\/h2>\n

The purpose behind this initiative by the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) is to allow the people of Dubai to enjoy the supreme transport services in the region.<\/p>\n

According to Sultan Al Marzooki, the Director of Vehicles Licensing at RTA\u2019s Licensing Agency, this initiative will deliver \u201csatisfaction and happiness to the customers\u201d <\/strong>by being able to add a personal touch to their vehicles legally.<\/p>\n

The Eligibility Criteria and Price of the Special Number Plates<\/h2>\n

Not everyone in Dubai can avail this offer to get a special vehicle license number. The first phase was dedicated to young motorists who were between the ages of 18 and 35 years. While in the new phase, people up to age 49<\/strong> can use this offer<\/strong> of customizing their own vehicle license plate number.<\/p>\n

These special moments number plates are available at all Customer Happiness Centers in Dubai, service providers, strategic partners, RTA website (www.rta.ae<\/a>) and the smart app \u201cDrivers and Vehicles\u201d for a total fee of AED 1,620<\/strong> per number plate.<\/p>\n
