Borgward, one of Germany\u2019s most technologically advanced car manufacturer that went bankrupt in the\u00a060\u2019s is planning a comeback which is set to be showcased in the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Founded by\u00a0industrialist Carl F.W. Borgward, car enthusiasts will tell you that the company made the most beautiful\u00a0cars and the most advanced in technology in those days. However, car price<\/a>, technology or industry\u00a0leadership did not save the high flying auto maker from going down.<\/p>\n

The company featured four brands; Hansa, Lloyd, Goliath and Borgward complete with individual\u00a0engineering and purchasing sections which employed over 20,000 people. This heavy financial\u00a0investment in the engineering forward thinking attitude was the cause of their downfall and eventual\u00a0bankruptcy. Car Rating<\/a> experts singled out the Isabella as the most exclusive car to ever be produced by\u00a0Borgward and remained a winner in the auto market during this time. The company even achieved to\u00a0export some models of the Borgward P100 to the United States and were maing serious progress among\u00a0buyers.<\/p>\n

In 2008 and inspired by the initial dream, Christian Borgward, the founder\u2019s grandson and his partner re-though the idea of Borgward and sold the brand rights to a Chinese firm, Beiqi Foton Motor. The\u00a0company that has already released a teaser ahead of the Geneva Motor Show where they intend to launch\u00a0the future of the brand in the auto market. Whether they plan to manufacture for local or the car export<\/a>\u00a0industry is not yet clear.
