The Abu Dhabi Traffic Police issued a total of 2,494 traffic violations after the infringements on the internal and external roads in Abu Dhabi during August and September. The police said in a press release that the high implementation of speed radars was part of its efforts to curtail all causes that lead to traffic accidents, resulting deaths or injuries.<\/p>\n
The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate Traffic Control Branch Manager Captain Abdullah Al Qubaisi said the main violations detected included failure to stay within the lanes or observe traffic rules, taxis stopping in undesignated pickup areas, and illegal overtaking moves.<\/p>\n
